TReND in Africa, which stands for Teaching and Research in Natural Sciences for Development in Africa, is a non-profit organisation with a primary objective of promoting science education and research in the continent.

 

With a team of dedicated volunteers from various parts of the world, the organisation runs a variety of educational activities providing top-level education and hands-on laboratory training by leading international experts. It also supports the establishment of optimal scientific facilities at several countries across the continent and engages in active scientific outreach to increase public exposure to the importance of science education.

 

The organisation believes that providing top-level education locally is the key to enable developing societies to take their futures into their own hands, becoming valuable partners in the worldwide production of knowledge.
